This rare Mannequin for shop display has her body made of pressed cardboard covered in black cloth, her arms and hands are also covered with beige stockinette cloth.
Her black boots are wooden and one is removable, no doubt for dressing purposes and posing positions.
The cardboard body has suffered some indentation damage both to the buttocks and abdomen. In our opinion this would be very difficult to restore with out damaging the under-clothing.
Her costume is that of a Toreador.
Her head is marked with FG within a scroll and a 2 . The bisque is of high quality and in perfect condition, the attachment of the head is through holes at the base of the neck both front and back with ribbon.

A charming and very rare complete ensemble made by CBG has it's ticket dated "1889 Hors Concours".
In the box we find a wash bowl 19cms and water jug 15cms, soap dish, tooth brush dish and a sponge dish with hole in the lid to enable the sponge to dry, the sponge is now very dry indeed.

The decoration is blue-green "aux fleurs de Capucines"
There is a pair measuring 15 cms (6 ins) and one of 9.5 cms (4ins)
Condition: as you should be able to see in the photos, one of the taller vases, at the base there has been a piece glued on with no attempt to restore.
