Steiner Kicker 46 cms 18 ins circa 1880 NA 001

This is a very nice example of the early model of the Kicker having the two fingers moulded together on each hand. She has beautiful blue spiral eyes, pale complexion and delightfully decorated. Her open mouth has two rows of teeth.
She wears a white "pique" dress with hand made embroidery.
She still has her original wig that has seen better days, her mechanism is in good working condition, crying Mama while turning her head, waving her arms and kicking her legs. Her bisque head is in perfect condition.

Jumeau Portrait size 10, 57cms 23ins cica 1885 NA 014

This doll is as found, in almost perfect condition with just some small chipping around the joints on the body and unfortunately missing her cork plate.

Steiner Fre A 9 41cms 16 ins. circa 1890 NA002

This charming little blue eyed Steiner is wearing a pink and beige dress made of silk and lace, the silk part forms the pleats on her breast. Her shoes are of a later period probably by SFBJ, at some time she must have lost her cardboard plate as that has been replaced by a home-made one, her wig is also of the SFBJ period, we think that she has probably had a visit to a doll's hospital at some time in her life and been "made to look new", of course they obviously thought that they should refresh the body as well. They did a good job on the body because at first sight you probably would not realise that it has been repainted, there are no signs of any damage to have justified any work being done, and the few tiny chips that can be found around the knees have not been painted over, so why did they do it? Probably they had been asked to if it was being passed on to another generation as a gift, to make her look new.
Her pink silk hat is marked inside "Louise Lin, Rue de la Republic, Beziers"
Her head is in perfect condition.

Steiner Fre A 13 circa 1890 NA003

This is a nice example of a bebe Steiner with blue eyes, closed mouth, she has a very pleasing expression.She has her original cardboard plate with a human hair light brown wig. The body has the flag sticker on her hip. She is dressed in a blue cotton and silk dress. Her shoes have the "Ange" motive on the soles and a "Galerie Lafayette" sticker.
Condition: the head is in perfect condition and the artwork is beautiful, her body is original . 53cms (21ins) tall.

Closed mouth FG size 7, 47cms 18 ins circa 1890 NA004

This FG bebe has almost a pouty type of expression. She has brown eyes, and a very nicely decorated pale bisque, the expression she has is really quite surprising for a "scroll marked" FG. She is wearing a cotton pique white dress.a beige silk bonnet with ribbons and bows, old brown shoes, and is on her original body with fully articulated arms and strait legs, this body was not manufactured for a very long time.
The bisque head and body are in very good condition.

SFBJ 1907 size 15, 79cms, 31ins. circa 1900 NA016

This beautifully modelled doll from SFBJ has a beautiful expression and lovely blue-grey eyes, an early example of this model. Her head is in perfect condition, her wig is old and original but she has lost her cork plate. Her body is original, with some retouching of paint around the joints.She is dressed in a white lace dress with pink silk ribbons, her shoes are made of red felt.

Jumeau open mouth size 8, 50cms, 20 ins circa 1898 NA005

This bright eyed Jumeau Bebe is of the latter period of the Jumeau manufacture before becoming the SFBJ company.
Her bisque is very smooth and pale the decoration is subtle her blue eyes are bright and seductive. She is wearing an antique lilac woollen dress pleated on the chest, her shoes are of the same period but unmarked. She has her original reddish brown wig of human hair that matches her eyebrows.Her earrings are typical Jumeau ones.
Condition: Her spring mounted head is in perfect condition (she still has her red paper behind her teeth) the body is unmarked and in good condition.

Bru Circle dot size 5, 46cms, 18ins. circa 1880 NA009

This is a nice example of the early period Bru known as the "Circle Dot" she has a swivel head on a bisque shoulder plate displaying moulded breasts, her forearms and hands are also made of bisque, the rest of the body is made of leather with gusseted joints.
She comes dressed in her original clothing, she has a dress of "entre-deux de dentel" and ivory coloured silk ribbons.
Her hat or "Capote" is made of straw and garnished with flowers and silk ribbons also of an ivory colour. She has her original mohair wig and cork plate, her shoes are exactly the same form as Bru marked shoes but are marked LI.
Marks; Brevete on the forehead and Bru Jne. No. 5 on the shoulder plate
Condition:The bisque parts are in perfect condition with just one defect which is a small pimple on the forehead under the wig near the incised Brevete marking. The body has suffered and has repairs around the joints, especially at the top of each leg where pieces of leather have been used to re-enforce the joints. Her right shoe has some small holes in the side.

Gebruder Kunlenz "32-22" 26cms 10ins circa 1890 NA012

This delightful little lady was made by Gebruder Kunlenz firm for the French market, she has a closed mouth, blue fixed eyes, her original blonde wig (distressed, and comes with a modern wig as well) and a trousseau of clothing and a pair of white leather shoes. Her trunk has two layers with two compartments on the lower level.
This doll was probably distributed by the Jumeau Firm, she is on an unmarked Jumeau body.
Condition: Generally excellent through out.

Interchangeable two headed doll set by SFBJ circa 1910 NA013

This rare and interesting boxed set has two character heads by SFBJ mould numbers 233 and 227.
The heads fit onto the body and measures 34cms when fitted, the cloths are original to the body.
